What We Think About Us
Hi, my name is Grace, and welcome to What We Think About Us.
Basically, the intention of this podcast is to continually ask, “What do we, as humans, think about humanity?” What do we think about ourselves, others, the world we all live in, and the phenomena we share? And the reason I want to know is truly just because I’m curious. I’m fascinated by this idea that beneath someone’s tangible physical form, there exists all this non-tangible matter made up of their custom experiences, thoughts, and opinions. And I don’t care how smart or famous or eloquent you are, I think that that matter, matters! That matter is what I’m curious about and what I’m hoping to dive into…in a metaphorical, inquisitive, non-gross way lol. :)
NOTE: The goal of this podcast is to hear many different perspectives. Viewpoints shared by guests are not necessarily shared by the host, and vice versus. Hate speech will not be permitted. Feedback is welcome if something said causes hurt or offense. It's my hope that we can all learn and be better together!
What We Think About Us
Ghosting - Bebb
In this episode with Bebb, she shares her thoughts on when it is, and isn’t ok to ghost. Ghosting is about intentionally disconnecting from someone, so as we explored this more, the conversation led Bebb to explore the opposite of ghosting as well: intentional connection. She discusses expectations within relationships, how to maintain relationships when life circumstances and responsibilities get in the way (health, work, family, etc.), as well as creative ideas for connection.
I also can’t thank Bebb enough for being so open and vulnerable about her experience with chronic health issues. Experiencing chronic health problems can feel so lonely and it was such a gift to hear her share some of her story and how she’s approaching these challenges present-day. <3
